Charities

At Buffera we do a lot to support events and expeditions, particularly those that are raising money for charity. You can read more about some of these in the Events Schedule pages but here are a few of the organisations we choose to support and work with in other areas. Please have a read and click through to their websites to learn more.

Reaching the most vulnerable during humanitarian crises is our greatest challenge. UNICEF's mission is to provide special protection for the most disadvantaged children: victims of war, disasters, extreme poverty, all forms of violence and exploitation, and those with disabilities. Our work aims to fulfill their basic needs and restore their dignity.
Guide Dogs believe that every blind or partially-sighted person has the right to a full, free, independent life - and we should remove all obstacles in their way. Our work has been transforming the lives of many thousands of blind and partially-sighted people on a daily basis for over 75 years. We can only do this with your support. Rainbow Trust Children’s Charity provides emotional and practical support for families when their child has a life-threatening or terminal illness. Set up in 1986, they offer the whole family individually tailored high quality support through their eight teams of Family Support Workers. They aim to maintain a sense of normality, and keep families together by ensuring help is provided not only to the sick child, but also anxious parents, grandparents and worried brothers and sisters. No other organisation provides the range of professional care and consistency of contact that Rainbow Trust offers. Their work is a vital emotional and practical lifeline to those who turn to them. Their vision is that one day all terminally ill children and their families will have access to a Rainbow carer.

Our marketing approach here at Buffera Ltd. focuses on supporting the sports and activities we love through grassroots sponsorship. In addition, we believe in supporting our community through work with non-profit organizations such as the NAAF, Cancer Care, and Guide Dogs for the Blind. Buffera also contributes to the work of specific charities for which our headwear products are of particular benefit (such as those supporting cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy).

Occasionally, we offer Buff headgear and support to other groups that demonstrate an approach to aiding community members and whose philosophy is consistent with ours.

To request sponsorship, please send us a brief resume (outlining your organisation's goals, philanthropic mission, contact details and a brief explanation of why you're seeking support from Buffera Ltd.) to sponsorship@buffera.co.uk. Due to the volume of requests we are receiving at present, we will only respond to requests made via email, many thanks. For more information, please see our sponsorships page.
